On this week's episode of Kickin' & Streamin' Podcast, Graham & Jocelyn review the Netflix original movie 'The Trial Of The Chicago 7' written and directed by Aaron Sorkin, and starring Eddie Redmayne, Sacha Baron Cohen, Jeremy Strong, Yahya Abdul Mateen II, Mark Rylance , and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, along with all star supporting cast; which included Oscar-winning actor Frank Langella, Michael Keaton, Seth Rogen, and more.  Jocelyn began by synopsizing the movie in the broadest of terms -so as to avoid spoilers- followed by a discussion about the machinations of the powers of the state to criminalize free speech, the right to protest, and the criminalization of thoughts and ideals. Jocelyn drew the parallels between the case in which the movie was based; which took place over 50 years ago, to the most recent acts of civil disobedience that took place in the U.S during this past summer after the murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and several other unarmed black civilians.  The two co-host also discuss the cast of the movie and their respective performances.  This and all of our podcast episodes will be available to watch on our YouTube channel on Fridays at noon. please don't forget to subscribe for future episodes.
