The documentary focuses on the life work of renowned American psychiatrist Dr, Dorothy Lewis, who pioneered the study of childhood abuse and brain trauma in convicted murderers, serial killers on death row. The film narrates and shows Dr. Lewis's work both as she worked with some of America's most notorious serial killers such as Theodore Bundy and Arthur Shawcross, among others. It also sheds a light in Dr. Lewis's work and credibility came under scrutiny as it was misinterpreted by some who saw her as an apologist for violent criminals, and an anti death penalty activist.
